A Taylor’d Pilates Story
It all started when a friend dropped by with a mischievous grin and a pair of BOSU® Pods in her bag.
“Trust me,” she said, handing them over. “You’re going to love these.”
I wasn’t convinced at first — they looked small, almost too simple. But a few days later, during my morning BOSU® flow, curiosity got the better of me. Coffee still warm on the table, I decided to give them a try.
I set the BOSU® Balance Trainer in its usual spot, placed the Pods under my hands, and began to move. Within seconds, I knew my friend was onto something. My shoulders stabilized, my core fired, and suddenly every tiny muscle that had been quietly coasting decided to show up for work.
What surprised me most wasn’t how hard it was — it was how alive it felt. The BOSU® gave me that familiar challenge of balance and control, but the Pods added this new layer of precision and awareness. Together, they turned a simple Pilates flow into something deeply connected and completely engaging.

A Few of My Favorite BOSU® + Pod Exercises
1. Pod Plank
Start: Hands on BOSU® Pods, toes tucked under on the BOSU® dome.
Movement: Hold plank (30 secs) or lower and lift the knees (Reps X10) for modification.
Targets: Core, hands, wrist stabilizers, arms, shoulders, balance
2. Abdominal Crunches
Start: Sitting on the BOSU®, heels pressing into BOSU® Pods.
Movement: Lean back slightly and lift one knee toward chest. Reps X10
Targets: Abdominals, coordination
3. Squat
Start: One foot on the BOSU®, one on a BOSU® Pod.
Movement: Bend both knees into a squat, then straighten both legs. Reps X10
Targets: Feet, Legs, glutes, balance
4. BOSU® + BOSU® Pod Tap
Start: Stand tall with one foot on each BOSU® Pod. BOSU® in front of the BOSU®Pods..
Movement: Tap the BOSU® with one foot, alternating sides. Reps X10 sets
Targets: Balance, ankles, feet, coordination, leg strength
Taylor’d Tips
Start slow, especially if you’re new to the BOSU® world.
Train barefoot — it strengthens your feet and deepens your connection to the floor (and the wobble).
